Be Strong Develop your Mind

The truth about you

Sometimes we forget who we are. We lose sight of our capacity to bounce back from bad situation, we lose sight of our power to make bold decisions, we lose sight of our strength to take unbelievable actions. We are stronger than we think. We just keep forgetting about it. And sometimes, unfortunately we need something bad to happen to us to realize how much strength resides in us. That’s why something bad can be a gift wrapped in what feels like a curse. But we don’t need that. We just have been temporarily blind or deaf to our power. It is in us. But we can’t see it. That is why self-development is so important. That’s why being mindful, meditating, manifesting, working on our positive thoughts, being aware of any negative thoughts and shutting  them down immediately, reading, learning, sharing with others are so important. In our materialistic world, all these concepts may look like a waste of time. “I don’t have time to meditate”. What about if I tell you that you could meditate for 15’ in the morning, and 15’ in the afternoon and be much more productive the rest of the day ? What about if I tell you that you could read 20’ per day and be an expert in your chosen field in a couple of years ? What about if  I tell you that you could have a 10’ meaningful discussion with your kids every other day, and that will make them so much more successful for the rest of their life ?

Saying that we don’t have time to invest in ourselves is like saying we don’t have time to stop to get our vehicle oil changed : one day, we are going to pay the price…it will be costly, it will take a lot of your time, much more than if we had stopped in the first place…

By investing in us, we self-develop ourselves. By investing in us, our sight becomes clear again about all the power, the strength, the capacity we have. Way too often, we underestimate the force that resides in our body, in our mind, in our soul. Have you heard about Wim Hof (this blog picture) ? Wim Hof has set Guinness world records for swimming under ice and prolonged full-body contact with ice, and still holds the record for a barefoot half-marathon on ice and snow. He has even climbed Mount Everest in shorts ! How does he do that ? It seems impossible. But it is possible, by developing the strength of your mind. When you tell yourself, “this is impossible”, you are most likely lying to yourself. Things are impossible until they are proven possible; which shows they were possible in the first place. We just couldn’t imagine it. Flying was “impossible” until the Wright brothers invented the first successful airplane. Running a mile in less than 4’ was considered “impossible” until Roger Bannister ran it. We can take millions of examples like that. All around us are examples of things that we thought were impossible but are in reality completely possible. We just need to get more knowledge, change our mindset, and discover our inner strength.

Then there is no limit. We can be more, have more, give more.

We have more power, more capacity, more strength than we think we have. Let’s use them !

Do not forget how powerful you are….
