Guess what ! We all face challenges, frustrating situations, disappointments, difficulties. All of us. There is NO EXCEPTION.This is something that you need to keep reminding yourself. It is typical for all of us to feel being lonely when we fail. We have this conscious or unconscious feeling that we are alone. We feel that so many people around us are winning or at least not struggling as much as we do.
LIES ! LIES, LIES, and LIES ! Watch for the lies that the devil is putting in your mind. This is definitely a big one.
Keep in mind that both successful and unsuccessful people face everyday obstacles on their path. Do not believe for a single time that successful people don’t fail. Actually all my readings, my discussions, my research on successful people have shown me the opposite ! Successful people have failed much more than unsuccessful people. Why? Because they are not afraid to try, to be on the edge, to test the limits.
But even more important successful people EMBRACE the obstacles, the failures, the challenges. The advantage that successful people have over unsuccessful people is their ATTITUDE over the situation. Again, they already know today that sometime in the future they will fail. They will suck at something, so much that they will be embarrassed. But what matters is their REACTION to the situation, their EMOTION to the situation, their LEARNING MINDSET to the situation.
If you fail, will anger help you ? If you fail, will avoiding the consequences and hiding help you ? If you fail, will not taking responsibility help you ? If you fail, will trying to erase the situation from your memory help you and get better for the next time ?
The obvious answer to each of these questions is clearly : NO !
So next time, you fail – And you will ! (just accept it) – EMBRACE the situation. Laugh about it, take responsibility, think about what you can do to fix it (think about the solution instead of the problem), take actions but don’t freeze, acknowledge publicly your mistake. Your growth will be from then exponential.
