Watch your thoughts !!!

Look around you. Seriously, stop reading, and look at everything that is around you. Every piece of furniture, every book, every structure,…and realize that each of them has been created by a man. Each of them has been created because someone thought about it, and most likely put a lot of thoughts on it, then created it. It was first an unformed thought, and then late on, became a formed reality.

As human beings, everything we create come first from our thoughts. We first think about it. Then we act on it, we create it, we do something and that thought that didn’t have any formed reality becomes suddenly visible to everyone. So the invisible thoughts become visible creations. Of course, through hard work. But if you want to achieve anything, you need first to think about it. That leads to the conclusion :

WATCH YOUR THOUGHTS !!!!

Because your thoughts are going to create your future reality. If you think negatively, your reality is going to become negative. If you think you have a lot of talents, your reality will find a way to express your talents.

Wonderful coaches have taught me the practice of learning to pay attention to my thoughts. During the day, we have millions of thoughts. As soon as we wake up, it is game on ! Our brain goes very quickly in its active mode and we start to think about our day, about things we have to do, things that bothered us yesterday,… The exercise consists in paying attention to your thoughts during your day, as if you were someone else : “Hey Anthony, what are you thinking about ?” and the next question is “Hey Anthony, is this thought helping you to get closer to your goals or pushing away from your goals ?”.

If it is getting you closer to your goals, good ! Keep exploring this thought !

But if it is pushing you away from your goals, then you need to stop thinking about it intentionally and switching to a more valuable and constructive thoughts.

If I think this morning about something negative that a coworker told me yesterday, then how does it help me to reach my goals today ? It is a negative thought. It is not helping me at all. The key is to realize that I am thinking this thought and then switch to a positive thought ! Be on the alert ! If I don’t do this, I am going to be frustrated, aggressive, demonstrating a negative mindset, especially at work. Do you think it is going to help me to get promoted this year ? To have a raise ? I don’t think so…

But if this morning, I am thinking about the run I have going to go for, later in the day, then it is a positive thought that is helping me to reach my goal to feel good in my body, to have some stress relief during the day,…That thought will help me to make the run a reality during my day, and to benefit from it.
